The people around us share our name is a dance duet. In The people around us share our name, we get stuck in a city that is slowly sinking. In a search for grip and balance, we stumble through ourselves and the people around us. By the inevitability of this reality we prepare our own method of sinking. The people around us share our name is an honest duet that deals with different forms of loss. In this performance we try to figure out how to deal with a world that seems to be ending. How do we relate to the people around us and the future that we build? Can the pattern that has been lived in for years, be broken or is it stuck in such a way that there is no way is back?

Music, text and dance are playfully intertwined, words fly through space, are caught, swallowed and spit out. To ultimately return to the body.
